1. Yes, the volumeof solution being analyzed matters as the pH ( - log(H3O+) is affected by changes in volume.

2. The glassware and equipment used must be properly cleaned and perfectly dry before using them for pH measurements.

3. We calibrate the pH electrode at the start and in betweeen measurements using buffers of known concentrations. in order to ensure that the pH measurements are being done correctly.
