Question
How do i identify whether a reaction is going to be substitution or elimination? My professor frequently gives us a question where we are supplied the substrate / nucleophile and observing what is being reacted, we have to predict the product. In order to do this, you obviously have to first identify whether its a substitution or elimination process. Just looking for some tips or strategy to do this.Thank you in advance!
