a)mass flow rate of water =60% of 20kg/min=0.60*20 kg/min=12kg/min

mass flow rate of dry potatoes=20-12=8kg/min

b)water flow rate of hot moist stream =1000 ft^3 /min *3.7 g/ft^3=3700 g/min=3700/1000 kg/min=3.7 kg/min

c)water flow rate in dry fries stream=12kg/min-3.7 kg/min=8.3kg/min(as 3.7 kg is blown away by hot dry air per minute)

d)% water in dryfries stream=mass of water/total mass=(8.3 /8.3+8 )*100=50.92%
