It is the natural ingredient in everyone's life.It is in our diet for thousand of years.The first usage of sugar was back in Britan Date back to 1264, but it was only from 1655 when jamaica and west indies became the colonies of Britan, Britain was more involved in the sugar industry.It is noted as a luxury ingredient used by the rich people.During the expansion of British empire, the sugar production was also increased.The government had lifted the taxes on sugar in 1874 it became more affordable for everyone and used for daily usage.it was used as the major trading product in history
Plantation system:
The division o land into private ownership is known as plantation system.in the 17th century, Europeans began to do settlements in America.The European immigrants came to U.S to take their own land and reluctant to work for others.The plantation system was improved out by the private ownership.Convicts were sent over from Britain but it could not satisfy the demand of labour.Because of this, the slavery became much worse in the U.S the open markets were established for the slaves who are imported from African countries in the 18th century.
The economic structure was also developed due to the plantation system.The slavery became more vulnerable and resulted in the American civil war.
