1.PRPP is used for the synthesis of purines.another fact is that for the synthesis of purines activated form of ribose 5-phosphate is needed becuase the purine ring strucutres are synthesised on the ribose 5 phosphate.the ribose 5-phosphate reacts with ATP and forms PRPP.during synthesis the ribose phosphate part of PRPP gets transferred to purine to form the corresponding purine nucleotide. but another fact is that PRPP is also required for the synthesis of pyrimidines as the sugar moiety is supplied by PRPP. so the opiton is e. 2.the answer is false.because for the synthesis of AMP, GTP is the major source of energy. 3.the answer is c.one reason is that Thymidylate synthase is a target enzyme in anticancer.
