Explanation / Answer

)At the western edge of Navajo, the contact is the presence of Wingate sandstones and both belong to eolian type formation.

)The nature of Navajo formation along with Carmel formation is that the carmel formation is overlapped at an unconformity by subhorizontal debris flow and over years deformation is being recognized in this region.

)Th contact between Navajo and Carmel is certainly deformed due to the subhorizontal debris flow and due to unconformity in its formation.

)The geological structure of needles, claron and isom is they are formed from the remains of volcanic rocks. These were earlier continuously erupting strong volcanic structures which are now formed as these rock structures.

)The small bedding structures in the carmel formation are responsible for forming the contact with Navajo on the side of carmel formation and these are irregular in formation.

)Iron springs are formed from volcanic rocks while carmel formation is overlapped due to debris and subhorizontal flow and is irregular in its formation. From this we can infer that both the structures are formed from the existing rock structures.

)The attitude of bedding between carmel and coal creek is that the deposition of volcanic lava or the rock particles are present in between these rock structures during their formation.

)Coal creek as the name indicates is known for its coal mining property and the presence of prominent trails parallels the creek and allows mining process to be more easier. The tectonic significance is that it could be the remains of some old rock structures containing minerals.

)The presence of river Sevier is present to constrain the direction of tectonic transport during sevier orogeny. This was mainly formed by subduction of oceanic Farallon plate underneath the continental North american plate.

)The Grand Castle formation is formed as a resilult of accumulation of sand particles and rock structures. The nature of clasts is the particles are strongly held together which cannot carried away by weathering process.

)Many years ago the rock structure from the earth's crust paralleled to form a rock structure and due to the effect of rain and weathering a gap was shaped in the rock structure therby forming Parowan gap.
