"In the preparation of the originally published paper a relevant theoretical paper was not discussed as it was missed in the literature survey. It is particularly interesting to compare these quantitative electron scattering calculations with the results in the original paper because it is possible to make deductions about the probability of electron attachment to HC in vibrationally excited states. The cross section is increased by vibrational excitation.
