Goal: The goal of this assignment is for you to demonstrate your understanding of the mythology genre by way of creating your own myth. You will also demonstrate your ability to analyze myths and think critically by discussing the purpose and form of your own project.

Part 2: The Analysis

For the second part of the assignment, you are to write a brief analysis of your mythology. This will be similar to the reflections you have done for the myths you’ve been reading in class, except this time you’ll be focusing on your own myth. In this analysis, your goal is to prove that you can think critically about mythology and explain why you decided the write the story as you did.

Summarize your myth in a couple of sentences and describe the culture, people, and belief system you have imagined it to be part of. What do you feel as though the story you have written demonstrates about the culture?

What are the main values articulated in the story, and how does the story teach a lesson?

Describe the most important characters in the story. What do they tell the reader about the world in which they exist, and why did you choose to portray them as you did?

Pick two myths that you feel your story is similar to and explain why.

If someone were to read your myth without knowing when and who it was from, do you think they might believe it to be a real myth? If so, why? If not, why?

Answer:

Mythology is a feature of believe something which is exist in real life, it is somewhat fiction which is not present in the real life. Myths comes into existence when someone's believe is so strong on any thing, it mostly happen in religion where number of people believe upon the unseen power or natural powers.

For example: Worship of god is a good thing but believing that human can attain the power of god is a myth, most of the people who sufferes from their hard times compell to do anything for making their time good and happier, therefore they are ready to believe on any thing which is true or not in real life, this makes the origin of myths. As we can see many examples in our day to day life that people are making challenges to make you happy, to give you job, to solve your life's problem in certain days etc. They actually cheats and make benefits by your problem, earn money and become popular.
