Question
SECTION 1 used to verify whether a reaction is first ord -./1n.be- 14 Chemical Kinetics Solutions to Exe AnalyzelPlan. Follow the logic in Sample Exercise 14.4.Solve When the concentration of N,O, is halved, the rate of the reaction is halved. (a) Rate = k[NOJ = 4.82 × 10-3 s-1 [N,05] (b) Rate = 4.82 × 10-3 s-1 (0.0240 M) = 1.16x 104 M/s (c) Rate = 4.82 × 10-3 s-1 (0.0480 M) = 2.31 × 104 M/S 14.29 When the concentration of N,O, doubles, the rate of the reaction double Rate = 4.82 × 10-3 s-1 (0.0120 M) = 5.78 × 105 M/s (d)Explanation / Answer
This is only suggesting that rate of reaction depends on the concentration of N2O5 i.e. it is first order wet to N2O5.
So on decreasing the concentration to half , it becomes half.
And on doubling the concentration, it gets doubled.
