Commercials are specially designed and psychologically prepared to draw the attention of audiences. Many people work together for better effectiveness of the commercial. And the main thing that draws us is the celebrity touch. Most of the time we buy a product simply because a celebrity was doing the commercial. Our brain is most of the time fooled or you can say illusionised by the very beautifully prepared advertisement.

The effectiveness of an advertisement or commercial is more when it is displayed on several media sources. And many places. for eg. a cigarette brand in Indonesia is promoted at many places on big banners on streets and some places even has big monitors which continuously play the commercial. Even the brand is marketted via live stage performances. The cigarette's marketting person on a science channel even said that they target teens as the consumer.

Earlier posters and banners were mostly used but nowadays the craze of online, tv, radio, have popularised and increased the scope of advertisement. When we see any advertisement we are psychologically attracted to it. The ad itself is prepared and designed by many psychologists. When the same ad is repeated over and over on tv or other sources of media our unconcious mind is attracted towards it.

Secondly, most of the brands use the touch of a celebrity. since we are already devoted to them so we will for sure buy the product. And most of the people dont even think about the quality and rely totally on the ad and their favorite celebrity. Deciding on a marketing communications strategy is one of the primary roles of the marketing manager and this process involves some key decisions about who the customer is, how to contact them, and what the message should be.
