To demonstrate your comprehensive knowledge of geography, you will write a response to the following essay question concerning "world rankings" of nations or political states:

Since World War II, the United States has often been placed No. 1 in world rankings of various kinds. With the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the United States was often referred to as the sole remaining superpower. As the twenty-first century proceeds, however, the position of the United States at the top of the rankings is being questioned.

What considerations, measures, and weightings do you think should be used in devising such rankings?

Use your method to devise two rankings of the top three political states for:

1) a century of your choice before the twentiethcentury (1800's or before)

2) the likely ranking by the end of the twenty-first century (2000's)

Instructions for preparing your paper:

And At the time of twenty first centuary the three power nation were United States, Russia and China. and other nations are Germany, Great Britain, France Japan and India.

At the 17 centuary the nation like Austria, France and Russia were political, Economical strong and also their military strength were also good. At the time Great Britain started established their empire in India and formed at company named East India Company at the time of 1600. they started trade in India of various things like textiles and crop and became economic strong. they started making colonies, fouight the other kings that were present there at the time and won all battle. France was the most dominant nation during 17 century they started establsihed their empire and colonies in various nations.Cardinal Richelieu and Jules Mazarin strengthened and centralized state power, at other half of 17 century Louis XIV increased royal power of france.

In the modern centuary United states is the most powerful nation of the world. the reason behind this because US is economic well develoed, there huge amount of Economic resources like Agriculture, Petroleum and Coal, Hydropower and many more. also it has world best army of the world. it has nuclear weapons power. he dropped the nuclear bomb at Hisoshima and Nagasaki during 1945 that end the second world war.

China also has very growing economy and its expaning very rapidly. it also has their nuclear power and best armed military forces.

Russia is also another major powerful nation in the world. it is beyond from all other nation in everything economical power, military power. nobody nation tries to take fight with russia. russia was most powerful during the end of 20 century. but united nation divided the soviet nation into 17 parts. but still it is in the most powernation of the world

the power of nation is defined by the amount of economic resources present in the nation. and also by the military power, weapon power and about the growth of technology in the nation.
