Explanation / Answer
Answer
(A ) A unreasonable intrusion into consumer privacy : if we consider it as intrusion then Wal-Mart always collect such kind of information as it has already have same information about the customer , it can have close look at the consumer buying patterns and can send unintended ads to customers seeking their interest in new product and services offered by them. It can sell the data regarding customers for commercial advertisement to other organization for income. This is cheating on account of reliability shown by customer on the Wal-mart data gathering services. In future, customer would avoid going over there to purchase goods and services , this would decrease the revenue on account of mal practices.
(B) An effective way to gather reliable market data: if we consider the Wal-Mart practice of collecting data of customer is reliable market data, this would increase the no of customers seeking new goods and services to be informed to them on time, this data would help the Wal-Mart and customers both to increase their selling and buying respectively. This reliable data would affect the marketing strategy and to come out with new promotional scheme for customer base.
(C) would people also allow their computer webcam to be turned on when the ad runs to see how the consumer reacts. This would help the customer to see the new advertisement of goods and services being offered by Wal-Mart, they would instantly show their interest and would show their feeling towards buying or not buying, their reaction patterns, would also create a data collected on launching of new goods and services.
