a). As of 2014-15 975,000 international students were studying in USA. The students mainly belonged to China(31.2%), India (13.6%), South Korea(6.5%), Saudi Arabia (6.1%) and Canada (2.8%).
Of these International Students, 20% studied Business and Management, 20% Studied Engineering, and 12% studied Math and Computer Science. The volume has doubled over the decade since 2005. However the pattern of International students have been fairly the same since the Chinese, Indians and the Koreans are naturally the ones who value higher education more against their contempories and usually take up the STEM courses.
b). 314,000 American students study abroad as of 2014-2015. They study mostly in UK (13%), Italy(10%), Spain (9%), China (5%) , France (6%). The growth rate of Americans going abraod to study has been fairly constant with around 200,000 Americans studing abroad in 2005.
c). The international students contribute $30 billion every year.
