The surprise generated by the data given in the table is regarding the fall in the number of unemployed as well as number of employed people. With the fall in the number of labour force by an amount of 765 thousand for a month cause the fall of both unemployed and employed population of the country comparing the month of September and October for the year 2017. But the number of people who are not in labour force is in increasing path and shows a rapid rise by 968 thousand.
Considering the unemployment rate of October, we can see that the month visualize a lower rate as compared with September and August. Almost all the unemployment rate is on a decreasing trend for the last quarter but in the month of October there is a rising trend of unemployment among the African Americans and teenagers. Duration of employment is also in the decreasing trend. Most number of people suffer unemployment for less than 5weeks followed by 5-14weeks. The no. of people suffering unemployment for 5-14 works is increased by 98 thousand.
Considering the unemployment rate among the different age group we can see that unemployment among teenagers is more and is increasing on the other hand the unemployment among adult men and women falls by 0.1. Discussing the unemployment rate of individuals with different educational level remain almost same while the unemployment rate of highschool graduates are fall by a rate of 0.8. considering the gender wise unemployment rate, we can see that both male and female unemployment is falling by 0.1, but the rate of unemployment among adult men is greater than adult women.
