Question

What would be the effect on the annual march of the seasons if Earth's axis were not inclined relative to the plane of the ecliptic? What would be the effect on the annual march of the seasons if the North Pole always leaned toward the Sun? If Earth's axis were tilted only 20 degree from perpendicular, what would the latitudes of the Tropic of Cancer and Arctic Circle be? Why are standard time zones 15 degree of longitude wide? Most weather satellite images are "time-stamped" using UTC or "Zulu" time (UTC expressed using 24-hour, military time) instead of the local time of the region below. Why?

Explanation / Answer

Ans....There still seems to be 12 hours of daylight andnighttimethere would still be seasons as in a yearly variation in weather but they would be different.Earth would not have seasons as we know them if the axis of the earth did not tilt.
