Question
Archie’s tractor-trailer struck a concrete barrier and got stuck on the top of the barrier. He called Jughead Tow to get it off. When he asked how much it would cost to tow it, he was told $275. He told Jughead to tow it to the local truck dealer. Jughead got the truck off the barrier after a few minutes and towed it to its yard a few miles away. It then told Archie that he would have to pay $4,070 in labor costs, figured at 11 cents a pound, in addition to the towing charge to move the truck to the local dealer. Will Archie have to pay it? Why?
Explanation / Answer
Archie's will have to pay for it because the motor insurance covers the towing cost and the labor costs for repair.
