Answer to question 1. US military being one of the finest and strongest superpowers of the world uses the leatest technology for military communication and security purposes. It also uses latest military weapons to counter any attack that comes forthwith. In the next twenty five years the US military will be using more advanced weapons like Drone which can cover large areas to be under observation, electromagnetic railgun which releases a bullet which cantravel upto a speed of 1.9 miles per hour and penetrate almost all tanks, autonomous weapon systems ie, using robots in place of humans for performing works that are considered dangerous or lethal and also laser weapons which sense terror attacks and fire when they sense threats etc. These are some of the technologies that US military might use in the next 25 years.
Answer to question 2. The US military missions can be in places where it senses that are areas of threat or potential threat. When Afghanistan was considered to be host of terrorist the US invaded it and destroyed all the possible terrorist camps maintainng peace and harmony for the world.Likewise many such attacks have been conducted in Iraq and some African nations.
Answer to question 3. When US felt that Sadam Hussein was a threat to the peace in the middle eastern countries it invaded Iraq and assainated him.
In the early 19th century US kept kept expandinf itself as it bought Alaska from Russia, fought with spain over cuba and eventually it also occupied hawaii. Thus becoming a super power.
US has been a super power as it kept all the latest weapons for it's safety and security and to maintain peace.
