Explanation / Answer

Eminem's STAN:

The song STAN is one of Eminem's best known and biggest hits. The story is true as well as particularly tragic. The lyrics of this song gives us clear explanation for the song's title. There are 2 main characters in this plot(song)

1. The Hero STAN( Fan of Eminem)

2. The Antagonist(Eminem)

Story:

This song details a fan's descent into dangerous obsession through his letters to his rapper HERO. The fan here in this song is STAN biggest Eminem's fan and throughout the song stan becomes progressively more and more obsessed with Eminem.

The song starts with the chorus by DIDO and by the beginning of verse we can clearly get an idea that it's a letter written by a fan to the singer. And all the messages of Stan complain about lack of empathy from Eminem. And in the Fourth verse Stan concludes "you gotta call me man, I'll be the biggest fan you'll ever lose" these lines gives a hint about suicide intentions in stan. Slowly the lyrics sounds even more tragic and we can feel the emotion that Eminem is attempting to write to stan, only to realize that he already heard about STAN'S DEATH.

One more interesting thing about this song is that Eminem's STAN has a new meaning in the Oxford English Dictionary. The word has been officially added in the Oxford English Dictionary.

If you listen to this song alongside with lyrics you can easily get to know why people fell crazy for this song. All his fans were seriously connected to that song and got some vibe.To be honest this song has exceptional story description that make seem all realistic and engulf into it.

In my opinion Eminem wrote this song to warn his fans who are too obsessed with him. Because he got some serious fans out there who would take everything he literally say. So Eminem decided to convey some serious message to all his fans in the form of STAN.
