In this lab you have worked with three types of vector data(Points, Lines and Polygons) and have briefly looked at some of the attributes assigned to the data, such as the number of females located in the Youngstown vicinity. Identify the three data types used in lab and briefly explain some of the attributes assigned to them. Based on your major or area of interest, explain how you might collect vector data in these three formats and describe some of the attributes that you would assign to each.

Explanation / Answer

There are three types of data that can we use. These are-

1)CONCEPTUAL DATA MODEL- It is a summary level data model. It describes the entire unit like entire population or entire enterprise. Also we collect the vector data by using the population as a unit and the area covered by it as another unit with proportional direction. For example increasing population may cover large area.

2)LOGICAL DATA- It generally deal with individual item like data can be shown only for woman or men or area covered by them.

3)PHYSICAL DATA- It depends upon other sources like if there were population increase . For example is it by birth rate or migration.
