The article that has been used for this question is titled as 'Nursing schools are rejecting thousands of applicants in the middle of a nursing shortage' on cnn website.
As the name suggests the problem that has been addressed here is the shortage of nurses. But this problem is not the actual problem. The primary reason is the acrual problem that is rejection of applicants for nurses. It implies that the economy faces hsortage of nurses not because people are not willing to choose this profession or in economic terms there is less of suplly of labor. BUt the problem is that the economy does not haveinfrastructure to accomodate the training of the labors to make them specialized personnel for this feild.
The article has provided that increasing demand of health care on one side and decreasinh supply on another side increases this shortage. On demand side the population is aging and require more health care demanding more nurses. On suppky side the already working nirses retireering on rapic pace but the new graduates are not meeting up even the number of retirees let forget about meeting the demand. The actual problem lies in infrasturural shortage. The lack of nursing schools, programs, small class size beacuse of shortage of space, lack of qualified teachers becaus eof less pay of teachers than nurses as comparative to huge applicants are the main probelms that is m aking the shortage worst.
Beside the constraiint that these nursing schools face they are taking steps to improve the condition. They are expanding their program to new campuses, looking at new ways of partnering with hospitals so that not only numbers of teachers can be increased but also space problem may be soughted out. One such method could be making the hospitals train the applicants after which they can recruit these nurses.
