Please criticize the answer to the following question.

Question 1. Southern California has long been fertile ground for conservative movements – from the origins of the open shop in Los Angeles, to the anti-tax and NIMBYism of the 1970s and 1980s, to Donald Trump. Will California ever become a fertile ground for progressive movements? If "yes", identify the one key cause of the shift in politics. If "no", explain a single major reason why.

I believe that in the next few decades we will see a big shift towards more progressive movements in politics. The key reason I believe we will see this shift is because of the Millenial Generation becoming old enough to have a greater presence in politics. Our generation tends to lean towards a much more progressive side of politics than previous generations, and as a result of outrage over some of the more extreme right-side policies that affect immigrants we have seen more discussion and a greater backlash against conservative movements in California among people in our age group. Another consequence of this outrage is a much more vocal and active progressive body consisting of people from multiple generations, but a rapidly growing number millennials. This trend is quite likely to occur in the US as a whole, in my opinion, but I believe that due to backlash against Trump's administration and many of his extremely controversial policies, we will see the already progressive Millennial generation begin to actively fight against conservative movements. Thus, as time goes on and our generation becomes more of a backbone in the state's political sphere I think we will see much stronger footing for progressive movements begin to form.

Millennials are more conservative than one may want to believe. American nationals are more polarized than they were five decades back, and, millennials are known to be guiding this trend. These are more likely to be seen as conservatives rather than Baby Boomer Generation, or, Gen Y. This is against the view that millennials are liberal. A larger number of high school seniors identify themselves as conservatives in comparison to high school students a decade back.

This can be inferred from data on 10 million adults. Twice many adults have extreme political party affiliations now. Millennial conservatives focus on issues other than racial equality, LGBT rights, and, gender equality. The emphasis is on gun rights, and, on economic issues. Millennials are now the largest generation in the American electorate.
