Question
Read Matthew 5:43-48 (NIV): "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." How might Christ's teaching on love here radically change the world, the church, and your own life – if only you lived according to his words? Do not answer in generalities; give specific examples. Include a source.
Explanation / Answer
Jesus preached us to be perfect or to follow a path which will lead to perfection. We can be perfect only when are soul is pure. His preachings, today, should be remembered again in this world where human beings are killing each other for money, power and politics. Everyone sometimes tries to be nice or good or follow a spiritual path. It sometimes happen that if we are nice to a person we don't know, We get the same thing in return. I always feel good when i go to the church. I become spiritual immediately and started having faith in god again. We always fight and do not apologise but sometimes if i say sorry or accept my mistake i really feel great. Jesus has taught us to forgive and this is the most important lesson he gave to us.
