Foreign exchange is a conversion of one's country's currency into another's. In a free economy, a country's currency is valued according to factors of supply and demand. Foreign exchange currency can be very confusing. If you love to travel, like me, it is a good idea to have some foreign exchange knowledge before leaving the U.S to avoid some hassles and worry less when arriving at your destination. I am traveling to Thailand this summer and I have downloaded the XE curncy app on my phone to help me familiarize with the currencies. According to Xe Currency app, 10 U.S dollars can be exchanged for 316.388 Thai Baht.

Yes, it is essential to have the knowledge of foreign exchange when you are going to travel abroad and that country does have another currency other that dollar, because not everyone was able to accept the dollar as they don’t know the exchange value of dollar as well as to return the remaining amount back to buyer. US dollar is widely accepted currency but everyone would not carry US dollar for their business, like small vendors and not so expensive local restaurant at abroad would not be having the US dollar currency all time in year for exchange purpose.
