This statement just needs to replied to please The three types of organizational structures. They are functional, divisional, and matrix structures. Functional structures creates different departments that are focused on a single function like sales, IT, or accounting. The benefits of this structure is that it can save the company money and it increases efficiency by combining different functions. Divisional is another type of structure. This structure divides the personal by the products they are working on. This is the most seen type of structure nationwide. The benefit of this type of structure is that it makes it a lot easier to adapt to market change. It also makes it easier to communicate between the different divisions. The last structure is the matrix. The matrix structure is a combination of both functional and divisional. Every employee would have two managers. One that is th functional manager and the other is a project manager. The benefits if this structure is that it allows the manager to focus on their area. It also puts employees in areas that allows them to specialize that general area. It allows easier communication with the divisions and departments. I would have to say that I would rather work in a matrix structure because communication is the main thing that helps any business to succeed. Plus it covers both of the other structures. So its the best of both worlds. I know functional structure is more for small business's and divisional is the most seen, but the ability to utilize both of those in one structure seems beneficial.
