Question

"font-family:'Lucida Grande', Arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;">In

a free enterprise system the government should have a minimum

involvement in people's lives. In 2010 the President signed the

affordable health care bill into law. This law requires that

everyone buys health insurance whether they want to or

not. A substantial financial penalty will be imposed on

employers or individuals if health insurance is not purchased by

January of 2014. Do you feel that people should be forced to engage

in activities that the government mandates for the greater good of

society? Why or why not? In general, do you favor having government

more and more power to regulate private industry? Please provide

documentation for your answers. Feel free to comment on the

Explanation / Answer

I don't think that government should force the people to purchase health insurance as it should depends on one's basic needs not on the law enforced by the government.

If the government is forcing people then this thing doesn't comes under democracy as democracy is ''All citizens have equal say in decision that affect their lifes''.

Also every individual may not afford it as accordind to 2008 census there are 14.3% poor people in US.

So government should not have this much power to regulate industry as this will lead the citizens of country to loose faith in the government as well as democracy..!!
