There is nothing like reading a good book or watching a great movie for a little escapism and entertainment. With all of the television channels out there and access to the internet, you can watch just about anything you want at any time. In Unit 2, you talked about the science involved with technology, but in this Assignment, you are going to turn the tables and delve into how the media portrays science.
How does a pop culture portrayal of science and scientists impact the average person’s view of what science is and how research is conducted? Can what is presented by the media affect how the general populace views a particular research field? What might the long-term impacts of such a depiction be? These are just a few questions that you will reflect upon in this Assignment.
1. When you hear the word “scientist” what do you envision? Which famous people or characters from the media come into your mind? What characteristics do they have in common? Discuss at least three characteristics of your vision of a scientist.
2. Has your image of what a scientist does and how they look changed over time? If so, how has this changed and what influenced you?
3. Are fictional scientists usually the heroes, villains, or a combination of the two? Provide at least two detailed examples to support your position.
4. How is science portrayed in fictional media (television shows, movies, music, books, etc.)? Is it seen as a positive, negative, or neutral force in the world? Give specific examples supporting your position.
5. Do you think the portrayal of scientists in the various forms of media influences how society views people in this profession? Why, or why not?
6. Can the portrayal of science in media influence how certain research and technology is viewed, and accepted, by the general public (e.g., cloning)?

Scientist
When i hear the word scientist, i think they are intellectual, very smart, brainy. But it is not true always. But in the real sense the scientist is a person he alsways engaging a systematic activity to acquire knowledge. They can always use scientific technique to acquire knowledge.
When we watch the news channels we can see that someone predict the weather condition of the country. They can said that the rain may be happened. But sometime it will happen. They can predict the weather condition by using the scientific method. To predict the weather condition they can use lots of previous data and other variables. In the real sense they are the real hereos because they predict the weather very accurately.
The important character of a scientist is;
1. Intellectual
2. brainy
3. prediction power
These characteristic are joined a person he will come and act as a scientist. Because they can use the scientific method very accuratly. So they can easily predict all the weather problem in a country.
Part 2
when a scientist always changed when the issues are changed. they can focused on new problems faced by an economy. The scientist are changed because of the socities are changed overtime. In the present society their needs are unlimited. So the scientist utilizes these resourrces very effectively.
Part 3.
The scientist are sometimes villians and some times they are real horeos. We know that every science field are used for the well beeing of human beeings. But some one used these are profit motive and some used as well beeing of the society. The invention of current is best examples of heoes of the science. But the invention of atom bomb is a villain. So the science we can used it as both in the case of dustruction and well beeings.
Part 4.
In the Tv field science are used as both villain and heroes. In the holly wood films most of the famous characters are scientist heroes. especially, Jesica alba, Russen crowe,etc.. In the film terminator the scientist develop the skynet microprocessor. These are the dustructive one. The film focused he has a mad scientist.
Part 5.
We know that science and media are two interrelated concepts. When science are invented something media will publish it. But some tiime media act as a villain against the science. The media gives the right information to the society. The false information gives the society act as a dustructive.
Part 6.
The research and technology plays an important role in the society. The society is sometime accept or reject the resarch and development in the society. We know that one of the biggest movement of the science is cloning. Clonig is someetime good and sometime bad to the society. Most of the argument are against the process of cloning. Especailly, It is diminish the uniqueness of the society, It is unsfae,etc..
