4, Blue Giants and Red Supergiants have the same luminosity although they have different temperatures. Luminosity is the total amount of energy that a stars radiates in 1 second. This is illustrated in the H-R Diagram or the Hertzsprung Russell Diagram. They have luminosity in the range 104 to 106 L.

5. Blue Giants and Red Supergiants have the same absolute magnitude number. This is because absolute magnitude is a measure of how bright a sun is. It is depicted in the vertical axis just opposite to the luminosity axis of the H-R Diagram which is also a vertical axis.

6. If 2 stars have the same absolute magnitude number, they need not have the same temperature. This is because, temperature is shown on the x axis while absolute magnitude is shown on the y axis in the H-R Diagram. For example, Blue Giants and Red Supergiants have the same absolute magnitude numbers but they have different temperatures: Temperature of Blue Giants is more than that of Red Supergiants. The absp;ute temperature is measured in Kelvins and increases to the right in this diagram.
