b. Two benefits to the environment of using less gasoline are 1. reduced emission of CO2 in the atmosphere which is a greenhouse gas and this will ultimately reduce global warming. 2. reduction in the leaks of fluid from gas cars which helps in reducing groundwater contamination.
d. Fuels that have been extracted from plants and crops are known as biofuels whereas the gasoline is refined from crude oil . Bio fuels are form of renewable source of energy and have lower carbon emissions as compared to fossil fuels. One advantage of driving a biofuel-powered car is it reduces Greenhouse Gases. The gasoline when burnt, produce large amount of greenhouse gases i.e. carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. These greenhouse gases trap sunlight and cause planet to warm. The biofuels reduces greenhouse gases up to 65 percent. The disadvantage is the high cost of production of biofuel. Even with all the benefits associated with biofuels, they are quite expensive to produce in the current market.
