1. Given that the reflectivity is 41dbZ,

we know that the radar equation is

Rate= (10(dbZ/10)/200)5/8

= (1041/10)/200)5/8

= 62.945/8 = 13.31 mm/hr

2. Yes there is hail in this storm as the reflectivity in most parts is greater than 55. If hail were to be present, there should be a radar reflectivity greater than 55dbZ.

3. The non meteorological echoes are nown as noise
