The explosive growth of smartphones may be a path that allows developing countries to move quickly into the digital age. What advantages would there be to supporting the growth of smartphone usage over computer usage in a developing country?
Explanation / Answer
Digital divide means simply division between two group of people who are interested to use digital divice and who are do not.
Basically this problem occurs in those economies where difference between rural and urban area is huge or it can be said that rural or backward (interms of use of technology) people donot want to use new devices where as people in the other area want to adopt new twchnology.
Due to this problem main problem which occurs is growth imbalance. The group who are using technology grow much faster than the group who are not. As a result imbalance in growth, problem in structural development , Gap of information between two groups occurs.
This problem can be solved by proper counciling of those people who are not interested to adopt new technology, by helping producers to rach to the backward people.
Mobile phones are the only digital device which an individual always carry with him/her. So main advantage of using smartphone is any time people has become reachable so they are updated with all the information which they need. Basically smartphone has helped people to aware more about them selves. And internet connection with phone is another big step in digital world because any information regarding any topic you can get through internet. Ebooks help people to gain knowledge, Social media help people to connect to the people so not only to gain information but also to stay relax smart phone is helping people and ultimately if people are updated with information, relaxed that helps to give optimal output in professional life.
Another important point security is also now connected with smart phone many Govt has developed many Apps for security purpose.
