Question
I need help on a assignment for my health class. I need to provide an overview of HIMSS stage 7 to a hospital system. This will be a description to provide the whole hospital with what HIMSS stage 7 is about and what to expect for each department (ICU, ED, Blood Bank, medical imaging, pharmacy, and HIM). So I just need a Summary overview to let them know what it is and then imma have department hyperlinks listed and when they click on the department they will see what to expect for that department. If you could come up with a rough draft in word or whatever that would be great thank you so much! I need help on a assignment for my health class. HIMSS stands for "Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society" which is headquartered at Chicago, USA. It is a not for profit organization working to improve the patient outcome driven by cost effective solutions. HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) involves methodology and algorithms to spontaneously score hospitals regarding their Electronic Medical Records (EMR) capabilities. There are eight-stages viz. 0-7 which measures the adoption and utilization of electronic medical record (EMR) functions.
The 7th stage deals with completion of EMR , data analytics in order to improve care. The salient features of this stage are:
1. Hospitals moving to a mixture of discrete data, document images, and medical images within its EMR environment.
2. Analyzing patterns of clinical data to improve quality of care, patient safety, and care delivery efficiency through data warehousing.
3. Sharing of clinical information through standardized electronic transactions.
4. Continuous display of summary data of all departments and services.
5. Closed-loop medication involve blood and human milk.
