Question

ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS DON'T ANSWER IF YOU CANT ANSWER ALL I NEED THEM WELL EXPLAINED THANKS

Consider the following topics. In many U.S. communities, low-income populations use the emergency room instead of going to a physician or mid-level provider's office. They often do not pay the bill for their service, which shifts the cost of their care to other, paying patients at the hospital. This practice drives up the cost of health care, but what else can hospitals do? They have to have a certain amount of income to keep their doors open. Is this fair? What if these sick people remain untreated and infect others? Is this just? Do they deserve care so that they don't infect others? We talk about a culture of poverty in this country. What does this mean to you? What about those people who seem to bilk or misuse the health care system? Do they deserve care? If so, who should pay for it? Shouldn't everyone be forced to carry health insurance so that everyone has a pay source? Can we expect people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps?

To prepare, you will need to read the assigned chapters, and then consider the following questions:

What does social justice mean to you? Is social justice the same as socialized medicine or even communism?

The notion of social justice is fairness so that everyone can achieve a certain level of health and wellness. After all, the Constitution guarantees everyone the right to pursue happiness. Is the health care system fair?

If you could wave a magic wand and fix the health care system, what is the first thing you would notice indicating that it had changed? Or, in your opinion, do you think it needs to be changed at all?

Explanation / Answer

In the United States, low-income individuals and families experience substantial disparities in health care and health outcomes when compared with their more well-off counterparts. This does also prevail in all the developing countries too where in they have made amendments like free and affordable health care services for the poverty and low income groups which does not compromise on the quality of services provided. Wherein the developed countries like U.S have formulated insurances for every individuals born in their country that might support the health care services they undergo but not all. Each and every insurance companies have their own rules to pay or to not pay to the services every individual undergo. Not all people even the well income groups can afford all services. So the Government has the responsibility to formulate acts that would support certain healthcare services for the people at low income groups and provide all basic necessities for the below poverty line people and to prevent hospital services being misused by some people below poverty line.
The Affordable Care Act requires nearly all Americans to have some form of health coverage or be subject to a tax penalty. Act includes numerous provisions that will significantly expand health insurance coverage, especially to low-income patients, as well as provisions to promote medical homes.
The Commonwealth Fund Commission on a High Performance Health System believes that a strong primary care foundation is critical to improving care for vulnerable populations and to achieving high performance in the U.S. health care system overall. Access to primary care is associated with improved quality of care, better health outcomes, and lower health care costs. Among low-income patients
in particular, studies have demonstrated that access to primary care is associated with improved rates of receiving preventive care services, better management of chronic conditions, and reduced mortality.
The medical home is a promising model for expanding access to and delivering high-quality primary care. Medical homes provide patients with timely and enhanced access to care, partner with patients,
manage existing health conditions, coordinate care across providers, and engage in continuous quality improvement. Patients with medical homes have better access to care, are more likely to receive recommended preventive services, and have chronic conditions that
are better managed, compared with those without medical homes.

Thereby many other forms of free or easy accessible health care systems are being formulated and brought into action but the awareness of those services are not provided in the same way to the people. Only if the people become aware of the healthcare services and acts of the government the utilisation of services that way is possible and the misuse of hospitals will get reduced.

People with income or not, but being individuals of the society are eligible to get treated in a respectful way of their sickness and thereby the country can be prevented from uncertain endemics.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AND COMMUNISM IN HEALTHCARE;

Just as important as others, health is necessary for well functioning society. If a population does not have a decent level of health, it is very difficult to ensure economic prosperity, political participation, collective security and so forth.- WHO

Therefore as far as am concerned social justice means just common and equal rights to every individual in the society in all aspects. As to healthcare corresponds everyone should receive desired healthcare services as to the requirements of the individual.

Not all healthcare institutions are just to the healthcare policies. The equity to all people at what so ever economic status they belong a good health is their right. So every health care institution must bring up sources to provide the least possible services to some basic health concerns of the population.

The basic humanity is lost in present community that is also prevalent among the health care industries. Therefore this does have to undergo a change in the present situation that will empower the healthcare system in a very good way and make every people in the society to avail their basic healthcare needs.
