Coca cola has established itself as a one of the most valuable brand in the world and maintains value by adapting changes which could be in product taste, design, ingredients or market segment. Coca-Cola's target market serves consumers from variety of cultural class around the world.

The company also takes into consideration the people who are health conscious and people who are on a diet. Their products are sought by segments of all age groups from the young to the old. Coca cola also trying to crack niche segment by introducing sports drink ‘Powerade’ for athletes and also established a coffee chain in a JV with an Italian company. Employing such strategy, the company is actually targeting customers from both genders.

Another example of product diversification by the company is Coke. This particular product is targeted to young population and its advertisement focus is teens as well as young generation.

Coca Cola is known as one of the most valuable brand in the world and hence it carries a significant brand value. Company has used its brand value to create brand extension in which it introduces different products under the umbrella coca cola brand. The product itself gets a head start because of umbrella brand. One of such move is to introduce Diet Coke in the market. As people turning more health conscious worldwide, Coke introduced a low calorie soft drink for such people and degree of acceptance for this product proved to be higher because of brand name that is Coca Cola.
