Answer: Euthanasia is the terminology that define such practice of voluntary ending of life due to suffering from state where either the pain is unbearable or the patient is on life supporting system from several years where the hope of returning back to normal state is quite impossible. In such cases patient can request his or her physician for voluntary termination of the access of life supporting system or can opt for injection that is meant for painless end of life. In many countries such practises are legal and with proper guidlines and looking at the condition of the patient where patient itself want to end the suffering. The approval of giving such decision is very delicate both for patient and doctor and while dealing with such issues goverment and the health care department takes all protective measure's and looks at the all possibilities before giving permission.

"Slippery Slope" argument in the case of euthanasia is ending of life is considered a very delicate decision where such permission's are only passed for those cases where their condition is very unbearble, and they are suffering from a pain which can't be tolerated futher or they are on life supporting sytem from very long period of time.

Capital punishment is for the people who have been put on life time imprionment and many countries practices to punish criminals where they are put on injection which can end their life.
