Are they relatable people? Did something happen to make us like him? What family factors could be involved in why we may feel for him?) But in essay form with five paragraps

An Ounce of Cure
The story An Ounce of Cure was written by Alice Munro. In this story the narrator speaks about a young girl who was in middle age life crisis. The major theme of the story is teen age problems and its crisis. According to the story the main character of "An ounce of cure" is an unnamed girl in her teens. While she was babysitting, because of her innocence and depression she took alcohol, consequently she was fired and lost her reputation in the town. But this incident, the ounce cured her depression; she reflected back her situation positively and overcame the difficulty. Such stories create empathy in readers because in some part of their life they too would have gone through such situations of heart break and emotional breakdown and would have bounced back to life again. The innocence and immaturity of teenage to handle the difficult situations sometimes leads to such incidents as described in the story. The family plot of the story is a conservative type, the mother daughter relationship lack mutual understanding and sharing, the relationship with the father that daughter shared is not mentioned in the story. This made the girl more vulnerable to take up to alcohol to quick fix her depression and heart break. It's important to consider the reasons of exploding behavior, the factors that has lead a person to take the drastic steps, of which they are the ones to bear the consequences, before labeling or judging them as "rotten".
