Stroke occurs when a clot blocks the blood supply to the brain or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts. Stoke is the fifth leading cause of death in he US and about 1 of every 20 death occurs because of stroke. The risk factors like, heredity, age, gender and ethnicity. The modifiable risk factors like, avoiding smoking and drinking too much alcohol, eating a balanced diet and getting exercises.

The stroke warning signs and symptoms are, sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg especially on one side of the body, sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding, sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes, loss of balance or coordination and sudden severe headache.

The prevention of stroke by choosing healthy diet, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, eating foods low in saturated fat, trans fat, limiting salt in your diet, maintain regular BMI, maintain physical activity, avoid smoking, avoid drinking too much alcohol. A stroke is a serious medical condition that requires emergency care. Act FAST by analysing the face drooping, aarm weakness, speech difficulty and time to call. If someone shows any of these symptoms even symptoms go away also, need to report and get help from emergency.
