1) Prerenal acute renal failure: Severe injuries can lead to drop in blood pressure due to interruption observed in blood flow to the kidneys.

For e.g: Heart failure, Hemorrhage, sepsis, hypercalcemia, renal artery stenosis, abdominal compartment syndrome and Gastrointestinal disfunction.

2) Intrarenal : Inflammation, any form of toxins, drug infection or reduce blood supply can lead to direct damage to the kidneys.

For e.g.,: Tubular injury such as Ischemic, Nephrotoxic, Glomerular disorders scuch as glomerulonephritis.

3) Postrenal: Enlarged prostate, kidney stones, bladder tumor or injury can lead to obstruction of urine flow.

For e.g.: Anatomic obstruction and tubular obstruction, such as bladder outlet (prostate and pelvic tumor), Ureteral ( Tumor, stones etc.), crystals, drugs and proteins etc.
