Question
Is money spent by the gov to build a road called Sg or G? If it's Sg, what else is called Sg? (I’m under the impression that all government expenses are called G, and Sg is simply the difference between government expenses and taxes collected. Thus if the government spends $30 billion more than it received in taxes, Sg = minus $30 billion. But now I remember reading somewhere that since roads are considered investments in the economy, money spent on them is considered Sg. So I’m confused.)Thank you
Explanation / Answer
it should be a G because there is nothing positive for the goverment budget. Yes, that is true that it is a service for the community; however, because it is an expense for the government, it should be a Government expenditure. I am only trying to answer as more accurate as possible. So, you could check other answers as well...
