What does this movie say about class issues in our society? What is the ultimate lesson to be learned from Gattaca? Does this lesson have any relevance in our world? How? Where?

Explanation / Answer

A. The ending line of the movie says "once every atoms of our body is made up of stars may be I am not leaving, maybe I am going home"

The scene depicts the urge of fulfillment of some dream, desire as he (Vincent) fought for it. for the identity to be proven as VALID from the society based on his genetic compatibility.

B. the scenes where people are feeling dissapointed as being VALID also they are not being compatible. The scene where they think they are designed to be No. 1 and they should be No.1 in the ranking of any game.

C. I personally like vincent character. As his struggle for making himself VALID and fit into the society in order to fulfill his dream is inspiring.

D. By Vincent character the most important thing that could be taken as a message is that if you have a dream you need to fight for it. The dreams which don't brings sleep in our eyes are meant for our growth, i.e, that dream has a power to take us to the next level as it is inspiring us everyday.

His passion and struggles for establishing himself as VALID drew me to his plight.

E. I personally dislike Jerome as due to his decision for attempt to take his life just because he is not the No.1 is diassappointing. His thinking ability to keep him and represent him as best is the reason for me to be turned off for his plight.

F. Director is trying to represent the complete implication of genetic and power of it in the near future by realting the scenarios of the past.

G. as based on the genetic composition people are discremenated as VALID and IN-VALID, In future the job compatibility will be only available for those who fit to be VALID. Eugenics is the process of genetic engineering that incorporates the power of modification in human genome.

H. The ultimate lession of the movie is to be passionate about your dreams you should have the power to achieve it inherently within yourself. Even being genetically strong if you are not self driven you will not able to achieve what you want.

I. yes it does speaks about today reality where we discreminate people based on the color, community etc. We belive that being genetically more compatible such things will impact us with greater future. The moral of the movie is everything is in our hand either to be successfull or unsuccessfull in our life depends on our hard work not on our genetic features.
