Dear sir/madam,
Issue: the current issues addressing “to replace Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) with new amendments & finally passing a new health care legislation under President Trump administration”.
I do believe that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) is an essential proposed legislation for patient safety in terms of affordable ethical based health care. This legislation is essential, US congress and other political parties should implement health policies for efficient long-term health care for patients suffering from neurological diseases (psychosis).
The replacement of this act may generate highly discrimination issues and cause heavy patient’s economic damage. This is because any replacement of this act would result in healthcare price's replacement plan, which potentially does not support “Empowering Patients First Act”. The amendments also result in meticulous “joblessness to healthcare workers”. It is difficult to healthcare workers to spend much money on health care insurance policies as their salary rates are lower. Therefore, as a responsible healthcare worker, I would like to bring these issues to your notice in the New York City.
As a responsible patient advocate, there is a lot of importance of addressing this issue for the health and welfare of your patients as to develop an efficient, long term-care without making any amendments in “Affordable Care Act”.
Government policies and political actions have profound impact on long-term health care sector in USA (at present Affordable Care Act, ObamaCare) and on remaining fields of the health care sector including nursing. The Era of health reform on long-term care took place since 2010 through both “Medicare & Medicaid” and “Affordable Care Act” as these acts are going to make sure home and community-based LTC.
In health care sector, political action has profound effect on the individual workplace of nurses due to implementation of various health policies to defend chronic and acute illnesses. Registered nurses should follow those political instructions to continue in their work at workplace in order to deliver long term- health care. Nurse must implement policies implemented by the ruling parties along with communities.
The ruling political governments should implement, innovative methods in preventing chronic illness includes in particularly early identification of the disease causing organisms. The other preventive approaches of the chronic illness include that initial screening, predisposition of the disease an also its growth and development. Political parties and other government organization should promote log-term health care in terms of neurodegenerative disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease etc. For example, leading political parties should promote immunization techniques such vaccines etc against infectious agents are helpful the residents and communities to get chronic illness, as part of long-term health care (Richard G. Stefanacci et al (2014).
Individual chronic health care management has been started from 1930s, through Social Security Act followed by implementation of various acts for long term care (LTC) in serving health care needs of both senior-citizens (with neurological diseases, diabetes, stroke CVDs etc) and persons with disabilities (Richard G. Stefanacci et al (2014).
Poverty and multi-problem family of a vulnerable population due to war their countries is the main cause of the immigration. Refugees often migrate to regions where much vulnerability does not exist. The major challenges now-a-days countries facing is austerity and poverty thereby it is very complicated thing to provide health care access to the migrants in the communities. Poverty is initial cause of vulnerability when providing health care access to the vulnerable clients’ nurse often should include questions about the client’s financial status to resolve the chronic illness that might Healthy People 2020 have in the years ahead with community health. Nurses and professional CHN must provide legal advice and financial advices to the vulnerable immigrant, homeless people and destitute.
Vulnerable population is the population who has much chances of getting chronic health outcomes in a population due to inappropriate health care access. Potentially vulnerable population includes refugees, immigrants.
The current ruling governments are not providing any funding to the health care societies to implement the programs with “no smoking policy, environmental quality” which has much significance that might Healthy People 2020 have in the years ahead with community health. Therefore, it is essentially, I would recommend implementing these policies to improve environmental quality and health care organizations quality” to deliver a good ethical –based clinical outcome. This can be done through ObamaCare without passing any new implementation of Acts or new legislations. Apart from this, it is important to strengthen privacy policies of health care data of LGBT people and women and those who are suffering from sexually transmitted diseases (Long term Care (2015) The Henry J. Kaiser)
In case, if any new health care legislation will be passed, I earnestly request you to address issues of “poor people, and those who are highly vulnerable due to drug abuse, domestic violence, that causes neurological problems such as psychosis. The new legislations should provide a clear accessibility and quality of health care for these patients. The new legislation should provide important rules to all of us including to every health care worker to deal with these vulnerable population, who are unable to get effective long term health care in healthcare facility.
The new legislation should also deal with health care and awareness programs about the endemic disease and about the causative organisms is extremely enabling the public in preventing chronic ill health. Health care professionals must monitor the patients who are suffering from chronic illness in their day-to-day life by means of observations of daily living.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Antoinette
