Question
I need help calculating amps for each resistor using the loop rule.
.
R1 = 20 W R2 = 40 W R3 = 60 W
R4= 80 W R5= 100 W R6= 100 W
R7= 80 W
I know how to use a graphing calculator to find the amps, once you have the right equations, but I keep messing up the equations, I think.
I have I1= I2 +I3 and I3=I4+ I5, that I know is correct, but the putting in the numbers is what causing me issues.

Let current in R6 is i6
current in R4 is i4 ,
current in R3 is i3 ,
using KVL ,
9 - 20*(i6 + i4 + i3) - 40 * (i4 + i3) - 60 i3 = 0
20 i6 + 120 i3 + 40 i4 = 9 ----(1)
Using KVL ,
9 - 20*(i6 + i4 + i3) - (100 + 80) * i6 = 0
200 i6 + 20i3 + 20 i4 = 9 ---(2)
again ,
9 - 20*(i6 + i4 + i3) - 40 * (i4 + i3) - (80 + 100)*i4 = 0
20 i6 + 240 i4 + 60 i3 = 9 ---(3)
solving 1 , 2 , 3
i6 = 0.03686 A = 36.7 mA
i4 = 0.0626 A = 62.6 mA
i3 = 0.0188 A = 18.8 mA
Now , i1 = 36.7 + 62.6 + 18.8
i1 = 118.1 mA
i2 = i4 + i3 = 62.6 + 18.8
i2 = 81.4 mA
i5 = i4 = 62.6 mA
