Healthcare professionals must be aware of applying different techniques of communication with various age groups including the children, adolescents, adults and elderly individuals. For example, when communicating with the children, it is important to ensure that the environment is safe and attractive. In case of adolescents, privacy and answering their questions with interest are important. Elderly individuals generally expect more attention. Active feedback is an important part of communication for individuals of any age group. Females are at higher risk of certain health conditions than males, for example, the osteoporosis.
