Checking on three parts of a magnetism question (between 2 answers for all of them)

Question 1 Magnetism:

Part A ) The south pole of a bar magnent is above the cetner of a coil on a tabletop. If the magnet is pulled up; what is the direction of the current that is induced in the coil (as viewed from above)? ( is it counterclockwise or clockwise? because i know its not zero)

Part B) A circular coil lies on a table. A uniform B is perpendicular to the table, pointing up. The field is decreasing. Which direction is the induced emf in the coil. Looking down from above, whats the direction of the induced current? (is it clockwise or counterclockwise?)

Part C) An electron moving along the negative x axis enters a B field. It is then deflected in the -y direction, the magnetic component must be? (is this -z or +z?)

Explanation / Answer

A)

if the bar magnet is pulled up,the direction of induced current will be counter clock wise,

so as to oppose the motion of bar, coil acts as north pole

hence ,

the direction is :counter-clockwise

B)

here magnetic field decresing,

and induced current producess magnifield which try increase the field.

hence,

the direction is: counter-clockwise

c)

from F=q(VxB)

if

F is along -x axis and V is along -y axis,

then, B must be along +Z direction
