Question
Problem 3
In the adjacent Wheatstone bridge circuit. R5 is connected to points B and D, as shown. Find:
a) The current I5, which flows through R5
b) The condition for which I5=0 (i.e. the relative values of resistors that make
I5=0)
c) The voltage difference between B and D
To start the solution, apply the Kirchhoff junction rule at point B and then D. After that choose three Kirchhoff loops, like from points CABC, CADC, and CADBC. Your answers should be given as functions of V0, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5.
