A) Momentu will be conserved. So 0.1*4 + 0.44*1 = 0.1*V1 + 0.44*V2 = 0.84

Velocity of approach = -velocity of sepration. So V1 - V2 = 4 -1 = -3

=> V2 = V1 + 3 put this in above equation and find V1

V1 = -0.8889 m/s

So speed = 0.-0.8889 m/s

B) towards left

C ) V2 = V1+3 = 2.111 m/s

So speed = 2.111 m/s

D) Direction = towards right
