1. Factual in nature: Every scientific hypothesis is based upon some previously observed facts which can or cannot be tested.
2. Testability: Every scientific hypothesis is designed in a statistical manner so that it can be experimentally tested and statistically verified.
Answer 2: Indeed a hypothesis can be logical in nature, but it is not mandatory that it is always scientifically sound and true as well. Thus, in order to validate a hypothesis into a theory, experimental as well as statistical tests must be performed.
