Question
I'm having trouble with this question. I'm really lost please help.
Explanation / Answer
Gametes are haploid in nature and contain one copy of DNA from the body in which it is produced. Since we are asked about gametes, Cells1/3 are not possible representations. (they are represented by both copies of genes/chromosomes)
Again, it is given that gene A is in one chromosome while Genes B and C are in another chromosome. So, Cells 2/5 are also not possible. ( Cell 2 has genes A and C in one chromosome and b in another. Cell 5 has all three gene copies in both chromosomes)
Cell 4 here appropriately represents a gamete with gene A in one chromosome and gene A and C in the other. so, the answer is Cell 4.
