The head nurse spoke with the nurse and made a disciplinary report suspending the narse for a week withour pary. The nurse started complaining and yelling to the head murse and went storming to the Director of Nursing's office demanding to be heard Security was callied and she was escorted out. On the way out, she stopped at every nurse's station to let them know what has happened. The nest day, while she was on suspension, she called the Director of Nursing domanding to speak to her When the operator would not put her theough, she would call again and let the operator know what had transpired the day befoee and why she was susgended and how unfair thu was She continued to call speaking to the unit secretaries in all the floces and then speaking to odher nurses whon she could get a hold of them. Patient Dignity: Nurse needs to maintain patience and dignity all through her communication with patient.
In this case, nurse didnot have patience to meet the needs of her patients.
Protecting patient interest: Patient is the nurses primary concern and she must work directly to advance the patients interest in evry situation.
In this case, nurse was always in conflict with the patient and her relatives.
Accountability and Responsibility: Nurses are responsible for every action done by her.
In this case, nurse was not ready to be answerable for whatever, she was questioned.
Influence on Environment: Nurses duty is to influence the environment to promote moral values and quality health care.
In this case, nurse influenced negatively around her hospital by complaining to whomever she found.
What behaviours are unprofessional and inappropriate for a professional nurse:
1. Defensive behaviour: Nurse who defend himself or herself is not in par with the medical ethics.People who do not bother about others feelings work unprofessionally.
2. Gossip :Gossip is a very unprofessional behaviour.
3. Being Non Responsive: Ignoring any communication from a patient is very unprofessional behaviour.
4. Laziness: Being lazy in carrying out the requirement of the patient is very in appropriate behaviour.

Here, i find that the nurse was very impatient. She couldnot work for the interest or requirement of her patients, instead she complained that the patient was very demanding.
When corrective measure was taken also, she was not ready to accept the corrections and complained to as many as people she could. She was always carrying a defensive behaviour.
