Question

A square loop of wire with a small resistance is moved with constant speed from a field free region into a region of uniform B field (B is constant in time) and then back into a field free region to the left. The self inductance of the loop is negligible.

A) Upon leaving the field, a clockwise current flows in the loop.
B) When entering the field the coil experiences a magnetic force to the right.
C) When leaving the field the coil experiences a magnetic force to the left.
D) Upon entering the field, a clockwise current flows in the loop.
E) While the loop is entirely in the field, the emf in the loop is zero.

I tried ABE and ACE and they are wrong

Explanation / Answer

When the loop leaving the magnetic field, the clock wise current flows in the loop, While the loop is entirely in the field, the emf in the loop is zero.

Force on left side of the loop is along left , force on top side of the loop is along y -axis and lower side is along -y aixs.

Answer is AE
