Question
As much detail as possible please! The basic equations and everything would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Suppose that a thin wire is wrapped 25 times around a balloon, and then placed in a uniform magnetic field that has magnitude 1.3 T and points in a direction perpendicular to the coil of wile. If the balloon is inflated such that its radius increases by 1 cm per second, what will the potential difference generated in the coil be? If the resistance in the coil is 25 Ohms, what will the magnitude of the current be?(Assume the Balloon is inflated.) Make sure to make a careful picture of this system and indicate that charge will flow.
Thank you!
Also.. How can I increase the amount of points I offer? I used to have 600-750 per question for quicker responses but I can't find where to increase the point worth of the Q.
Explanation / Answer
n=25
B=1.3T
induced emf =N*B*(dA/dt)
=N*B*(dA/dt)
=N*B*(d(pi*r^2)/dt)
=2pi*r*N*B*(dr/dt)
=2*3.14*r*25*1.3*1*10^-2
emf=2.041*r volts
now
R=emf/R
=2.041*r/25
=0.08164*r A
